in the anon's defense while rose/kanaya interactions are like over-the-top awkward and almost-affectionate i never did quite get the vibe that they are TOTALLY CANON like most people did? i mean the subtext is there and it's precious but rose and kanaya are both so wrapped up in other elements of the plot i was surprised to see that pairing was as popular as it was. something about that anon made me laugh really hard though it's okay anon it's just shipping

the anecdote about my buddy saying that was mostly funny to me because she was not a person who normally thought that hard about shipping and the fact that she would key into that without being convinced was very amusing.  it is doubly funny because it demonstrates how obvious all the subtext between them really is.

as far as popularity goes, i think they just have a fun character dynamic and they get a pretty decent amount of pagetime interaction, so i am not surprised people latched onto it.  ALSO SOME OF US ARE JUST…ALWAYS INVESTED IN LADYSHIPS FROM THE START…. >_> (DON’T LOOK AT ME LIKE THAT I JUST REALLY LIKE IT WHEN LADIES KISS OK WHY AREN’T THERE MORE NARRATIVES FOR ME ABOUT LADIES KISSING)
