well anon kanaya is obvs crushing on rose as evidenced by her repeated reads of the instruction manual & the fantasizing she’s done re: rose thru such reads + her nervousness about talking to exciting clever rose vs lack of nervousness re: others so

and you could argue that Rose is reciprocally crushing/considering in some manner due to her continued contact w/Kanaya despite having previously said that it would be stupid to keep up, basically marking her as an intellectual equal, and also that time Rose was crushingly disappointed that Kanaya was not also a Derse dreamer but didn’t really show it

not even to mention the act 6 intermission interaction, all that strangely open-hearted dialogue, goddamn

(like in all seriousness if you don’t ship Rose/Kanaya that is peachy keen and shit, but lol @ leaving ask messages about how picking out subtext—not even very deeply-hidden subtext—isn’t correct or whatever, find a better use of your time, srsly)
