It's sort of a random question, but do you know what the "*" in trans* stands for? Google and Wikipedia aren't helpful. Also, keep being awesome, Liz c:

ah well from what i’ve understood it’s supposed to be a way to make the term a bit more inclusive for everyone—that is, people who identify as non-binary, transgender, trans man/woman, transsexual, etc. it’s a nice catch-all. obviously not everyone needs to use it in all situations but i enjoy it because it is generally the most inclusive term.

Google and Wikipedia wouldn’t help because * is the wildcard character in much of search, programming, and code-writing. “R*” is all words starting with R, “*ed” is all words ending in ed, and “trans*” is all words starting with trans.
